Weight Training Component

-Hockey is a very demanding sport that causes muscle breakdown.  Throughout the season, the hockey player relies upon his muscles for optimal performance and in most cases, does not have time, nor the energy, to maintain a weight training program. For these reasons, it is important that the athlete follow a correct and goal-oriented regimen.

Conditioning Component

-A well-conditioned hockey player is an athlete that has worked intensely and faithfully on developing each area of his off-ice fitness.  Being able to develop the various fitness, levels is what defines off-season hockey training as being unique.  You are the only person that knows if you are truly working 100%.  Maximizing your efforts will produce the results that you are searching for; a stronger recovery system, increased speed, increased explosiveness, quicker feet, and greater agility.  Imperative that the athlete moves progressively from one phase to the next.
